This is an original mixed media painting of an antique gold southwestern style horse painted on a a 18"x 24" sheet of Strathmore Bristol acid free smooth heavy weight paper. The horse and the ornate inner frame are dimensional and shimmer in an antique gold metallic finish. The horse's bridal and the diamond shaped designs around the inner frame are accented with a turquoise color. Layers upon layers of acrylic and metallic paints have been applied to achieve a look that almost resembles hammered metal. It is one of my original paintings and it took me more than 50 hours to complete this intricate piece of art. You will be purchasing the original painting and not a print.
