Hand knitted heirloom baby clothes just like grandma used to make! Nothing is more special than the birth of a new baby girl or boy. In times gone by grandmas and new moms used to spent hours creating tiny little hand knitted or crocheted clothes while everyone was waiting for the new family member to arrive.
Sadly the art of knitting and crochet isn't taught in schools anymore and these old traditions are slowly becoming a thing of the past. I was fortunate to have been taught how to knit and crochet by my grandmother and I love to create these handmade treasures for new moms who will cherish a truly handmade piece of baby clothing. They make a perfect baby shower gift for a new baby/ grand baby, niece or nephew.
This adorable little pink Baby cardigan set has been knitted by hand using a soft Snuggly Wuggly Acrylic Baby yarn.
The cardigan measures 9 inches wide by 9 inches tall and the sleeves are measured from the wrist to the shoulder about 9.5 inches.It has 7 buttons and it is decorated with four satin ribbon flowers accented with a faceted rhinestone accents.
(I have added some photos of the lilac version of this cardigan which show the measurements with a ruler. )
The size will fit a baby of 0-3 months.
It comes with a matching hat and booties. The booties measure 4 inches by 3.5 inches tall. They are decorated with a pink satin ribbon bow and a faux fur trim. They have crochet laces to help keep them on baby's tiny feet.
Care Instructions:
Machine wash warm/gentle cycle and tumble dry on a low setting.
